Peer Review

What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking reviewers to ensure the content is appropriate, accurate, consistent, and adequately covers the material as well as to assist in identifying typos and grammatical errors. Particularly, we are looking for 2-4 people with a PhD in psychology or related field in the social sciences who are willing to review individual chapters or the complete book. We will also consider PhD students who teach research methods courses. We particularly welcome applicants from underrepresented groups. Reviewers can remain anonymous but the authors would prefer to be able to acknowledge the peer reviewers by name in the book. Reviewers can choose to use Hypothes.is or Google Docs to complete their reviews.

Time Commitment

2-3 hours per chapter

Target Completion Date

15 Aug 2019

  1. Hi Jessica! Thanks for volunteering to be a part of the peer review process on this text. And apologies if you got a lot of emails from us, or none at all - we ran into a bit of a bug accepting new people to projects. Sorry about that!

But in any case, Carrie asked me to get in touch, as she’s away for a couple of weeks, but keen to hear from you if you’d like to be involved. Were you interested in being a reviewer?

  2. Hi Jessica,

Are you interested in serving as a peer reviewer of our book? You could do a chapter or two or the whole book. Let me know if you are interested!

    Thank you,

  3. I would like to serve as a peer reviewer for this title. I’m fine with a chapter or a couple of chapters.

  4. Dear Jessica and Megan:

Thank you for your interest! Please send me an email at dleighton@tamut.edu, and I will respond with the details about how to get started. Cheers, Dana Leighton.

  5. Hi there,

I am happy to get involved; happy with one chapter or a few chapters.

    Best wishes,

  6. Tedis,
